The attapulgite adsorbent loaded nano TiO2 was prepared by sol-gel method. The structure of the adsorbent was characterized by SEM,XRD etc. before and after loading. The adsorption mechanism and the performance of the attapulgite adsorbent loaded nano TiO2 were studied. The experimental results showed that the crystallization and zeolite water were dropped,the internal pore size and surface area increased and the quantity of active adsorption sites was improved in the attapulgite adsorbent. So the adsorption capacity of the attapulgite adsorbent loaded nano TiO2 calcinated at high temperature was promoted compared with the attapulgite before loading. The attapulgite adsorbent loaded nano TiO2 had better adsorption effect to Mn2+ when pH value was 5 ~ 6 and adsorption equilibrium time was 120 minutes at room temperature( 20 ~ 25℃).
