Experiment and Simulation Study of Dynamic Thermal Response Characteristics in High Temperature Molten Condition for Fused Silica Ceramics

The paper introduced a new experiment method of the dynamic thermal response characteristics for fused silica ceramics,By using gas flow engine,this experiment assessed the transient thermal shock of fused silica ceramics. The mechanism of crystal phase transformation and surface cracks was studied for the test article. The dynamic thermal response characteristics in molten condition for fused silica ceramics were obtained. Thermal stress Simulation of the experiment process and the cooling process after experiment was carried out base on the experiment. Comparing with simulation results and experiment results proved that the simulation method for fused silica ceramics.
