Determination of Glycyrrhizic Acid in LuHuaAn Brown Oral Liquid by HPLC

OBJECTIVE To establish an HPLC method for determina tion of glycyrrhizic acid inLuHuaAn brown oral liquid. METHODS x-bridge C 18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm,5μm) column was used,and the mobile phase was composed of methyl alcoho l- glacial acetic acid-0.2mol·L -1 ammonium acetate (67∶ 1∶33),the detection wavelength was set on 250nm,flow rate was 1.0mL·min -1 and the column temperature was 30℃. RESULTS The calib ration curves of ammonium glycyrrhizinate showed agood linear relation over the range of 0.02-0.80mg·mL -1 (r=0.998).The average recovery of ammonium glycyrrhizinate ranged from 97.44 to 101.72%,RSD ranged from 1.42% to 2.84%.The contents of glycyrrhizic acid in 10 batches of Luhuaan zongse koufu rongye ranged from 2.01 to 2.26mg·mL -1 .Average c ont ents was 2.19mg·mL -1 .For the quality control,we suggest that the conte nts of glycyrrhizic acid in LuHuaAn brown oral liquid should be 1.971-2.409mg·m L -1 . CONCLUSION This method is simple,accurate and with good rep roducibility.It can be used for the determination of glycyrrhizic acid in LuHuaAn brown oral liquid.
